Information

At Eveque we have been leading the way on Educational Sports equipment and services since 1976. Our commitment to innovation, learning and safety has been the driving force behind some of the most exciting and original products around.

3 Components are central…

  • Fun – youngsters learn through positive experiences
  • Fair Play – sound values are at the heart of all our activities
  • Flexibility – our programmes can be modified to fit your requirements.

There are still many people who are only just starting to hear about what we do, whether it is…

  • the youngster competing in an Agility Challenge or Sportshall Primary Competition for the first time.
  • the parent or grandparent enjoying the warmth of indoor competition seeing the youngsters competing in events in front of them
  • Teachers able to encourage leadership and social responsibility to older children as they run Infant Agility Events and Primary Programmes
  • Teachers who are able to use what has been learnt through sporting activities into other lessons.
  • Partnership Development Managers who are able to run cluster and partnership competitions
  • Coaches who are able to transfer their skill & knowledge to others

We are very proud about what we have and what it does for so many people, however why stop there?

Innovation is so important to us, recently we have looked again at our very popular Primary Athletics Kit and with a few tweeks created the Primary Agility Kit, taking nothing from the old kit but allowing the Primary Agility kit to be able to run all the Agility Challenge Decathlon events in a five plus five event format.

Fun

Our equipment is bright colourful and intuitive. Team Participation and involvement of all. For the first time a youngster within one hour of being introduced to Sportshall can be participating in the event, starting the event for others and timing other youngsters.

The roar that is generated from ten competing Teams in a typical Sportshall just has to be heard….This is what we mean by Fun !

Fair Play

Encouraging support and teamwork, youngsters cheer on their team mates, whilst leaders and coaches ensure the right activity is performed. The scoring allows all to participate regardless of age, or ability and this brings out the best outcome for all.

Flexibility

All our programmes and products can be adapted for all ages and abilities. The format of the programmes can be moderated to suit the size of the group the learning point that is required or the Challenge score that is seeking to be attained. The innovative Eveque products can be used in variety of settings. One group of schools is about to raise money for Sport Relief with a Speed Bounce Challenge!

Much of what has been done would not have happened had it not been for the many hundreds of dedicated volunteers and contributors. George Bunner MBE started this revolution.

George Bunner, born in Liverpool in 1932, has been involved in athletics for most of his life, his high point coming in 1950 when he became English AAA Junior 880 yards Champion. Professionally, George qualified as a Chartered Electrical Engineer and eventually became Managing Director of one of the largest electrical contractors in the North West of England. George’s main passion, however, has always been athletics and in 1976 he founded a small athletic club in the Cheshire village of Frodsham. George was surprised to find he was swamped by primary school children and quickly realising that traditional track and field would not suit this age group. He set about creating ‘Sportshall’ Athletics which now forms a major part of the UK Athletics development programme with an estimated 500,000 children taking part annually and has spread to over 30 countries. George, now recognised as a leading international authority in his field, left engineering in 1992 to work full-time in a voluntary capacity and now, at over 70 years old, has no plans to retire. In 2002 he collected an MBE for his services to athletics and he can still be found in his office every day developing his programmes and satisfying his passion for athletics.
