Description
The Sportshall Junior Vertical Jump/Sit and Reach is a versatile piece of Sportshall Athletics equipment designed to help schools assess children’s leg strength, power and flexibility. Used as part of the Sportshall Athletics programme and competition, this safe and easy to use piece of indoor athletics equipment is suitable for both primary and secondary schools.
The unit can be mounted vertically on a suitable wall to measure vertical jump performance or used horizontally on a table for the Sportshall Athletics Sit and Reach flexibility test, making it two pieces of school athletics equipment in one. The Sportshall Athletics Vertical Jump challenges children to jump from a standing position and reach as high as possible, competing against their own height and weight, an internationally recognised method of assessing leg strength to body weight ratio.
A magnetically held sliding scale is adjusted to each participant’s height before jumping, providing fair and accurate results. Quick to set up and easy to teach, the equipment supports inclusive participation across a wide range of ages and abilities.
